Introduction
Father, what is a Legislature?
A representative body elected by the people.
Are women people?
No, my son, criminals, lunatics and women are not people.
Do legislators legislate for nothing?
Oh, no, they are paid a salary.
By whom?
By the people.
Are women people?
Of course, my son, just as much as men are.

Toxic Sex?

TOXIC SEX?

Proposition 65, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (The Act) [Ref (1)], was enacted as a ballot initiative in November 1986. The Proposition was intended by its authors to protect California citizens and the State's drinking water sources from chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm, and to inform citizens about exposures to such chemicals.

The Act requires the Governor to publish, at least annually, a list of chemicals known to the state to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity.

On April 1, 1988 testosterone was placed on this list. Testosterone is found in male semen (human, bovine, cetacean). The Act states that you are not being exposed to chemicals for the period of one year after the listing of the chemical.

What does this mean? Well the next time you have mountain oysters there should be a warning label on them. Oh, you're curious about the effects on your sex life? Since 1 April 89 if you were a male you are required by the act to inform your partner(s), prior to sexual activity about the manner of exposure and the possible results of exposure in a "clear and reasonable manner". An acceptable statement might read as follows:
"The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 requires that I convey to you the following information. WARNING: During Sexual Activity You May Be Exposed To Male Semen. Male Semen Contains Testosterone And Testosterone Is Known To The State Of California To Cause Cancer."
An alternative to the above statement is labeling. Labeling might be accomplished by one of the following methods; (1) A strategically placed tattoo. (2) A tag displaying the warning label attached to the male member. (3) Embroidered, embossed, and/or silk screened underwear/outerwear. The warning label must comply with Ref (2) for environmental toxic exposure warnings. See the example above.

If you've not complied with the guidelines above, you may be exposing yourself to fines of up to $2500 per day. You ask "Who's going to catch me?" The PRICK POLICE, who else! (I really don't mean that to sound redundant. Really!)

Back in the early days when you had to dial up a mainframe, if I found a terminal where someone had not logged off at night I'd pull up this file.
